ISLAMABAD: Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage State Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, talking to media on Wednesday, said when justice is not served and verdicts are given in haste, it raises many questions.
She said an elected prime minister was sent home on the basis of an ‘Iqama’, alleging that the verdict had been decided before hand, notwithstanding the fact that there were no corruption charges against Nawaz and no evidence available to corroborate them.
She said efforts were being made to come up with trumped-up charges against Nawaz and ferret out the supporting evidence.
The minister observed that the joint investigation team (JIT) report was an interim submission as its volume 10 was incomplete and the process of mutual legal assistance had also not been concluded.
She said there could not be double standards in law and everyone has the right to seek justice.
