DADU: A team from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raided the district accounts office on Wednesday and seized records of embezzlement in GP funds of employees. They also obtained recovery of drawn bills amounting to a million rupees – four times in the name of a single government employee.
The NAB team took the records of drawing amount by various heads in the names of employees of education, health, agriculture, works and services, roads, buildings, police, fisheries and live stock, forest, exercise and taxation departments since 2014.
The team found misappropriation from fake bills of GP funds of employees; as a result they questioned the district officer and treasury officers while the national exchequer was being looted at length.
