LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that the Sharif family wants to derail the democracy in order to save their stolen money aboard.
He was addressing a Party’s Workers’ Convention in Islamabad to mark the launch of PTI’s membership campaign on Sunday.
Khan said, “Sharif family is making all efforts to escape from the money laundering case.”
“If they were convicted, their wealth abroad will be ceased,” he said.
He also accused the rulers of using power to accumulate their wealth. “The rulers have destroyed the nation with their corrupt practices,” he remarked.
He accused the Sharif family of deliberately maligning the army just for saving their own skin.
“It seems PTI has to hold another street demonstration, if the government continues to malign the army and the judiciary,” he warned.
PTI Chairman dubbed the Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal as “the biggest fraud” in the history of Pakistan.
He accused the ousted premier Nawaz sharif and former president Asif Ali zardari for not letting the talent grow in the country.
While addressing to the seminar, he said, “PTI wants prosperity in the country.”
He remarked, “I count Muhammad Ali Jinnah as the only leader in the country’s history” and added that the PTI is following the Quaid-e-Azam’s mission.
He aimed to recruit only those people in the party for whom the country matters more.
He also directed the party officials to start preparations for the upcoming general elections.
