Karachi: Ameer Jamat-i-Islami Karachi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in a statement has said that recent revelations by National Ele
ctric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) in its report has authenticated their allegations against K-Electric.
There has been no improvement in the capacity of K-E for generating electricity to facilitate its consumers who are been fed-up with prolonged load shedding in the city. “The problem of shortage of electricity would not be resolved until K-E makes its all power plants operational”, he observed.
“All-out efforts are being made for the recovery of bills by K-E but no attention is being paid for the b
etterment of its servic
es as per the needs of its consumers”, he alleged.
It’s the responsibility of the government and NEPRA to take action against K-E for the violation of terms and conditions of the agreement and must be charged accordingly, he demanded. “K-E has l
ooted billions of rupees from the public without improving its own capacity”, he alleged adding that people must be given their plundered money back.
