The provincial cabinet of Sindh has endorsed the transfer of IGP Sindh, but federal government has created deadlock on the transfer of Inspector General of Police Sindh and there is no communication between IGP Sindh and Sindh government while Sindh police is given freehand to maintain law and order situation in the province, but there are many issues regarding law and order in the province mainly in Shikarpur while a few police officers are taking revenge and allegedly said that SSP Shikarpur has been involved in carrying out fake and fabricated police encounters in Shikarpur.
This was said by Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, the provincial minister for Energy Sindh, during a press conference held at his residence, on Sunday.
Shaikh also said that if working relations are not good with any officer then who should go for the new assignment, but IGP Sindh is not ready to go because there are his personal interests and Sindh police have become controversial under the supervision of incumbent IGP Sindh.
Imtiaz also allegedly said that Police Chief Shikarpur is taking revenge by carrying out fake and fabricated police encounters and said that a case had registered against Muhammad Hassan Teghani when tribal dispute between Bijarani and Teghani tribes in 2015 was ongoing and he was picked up by police and he became the victim of Half Fry through fake encounter and we are condemning such act of police furthermore police have also disappeared Sadam Shaikh, Shahmeer and Dur Muhammad and announced to lodge an FIR against police regarding disappeared persons.
Mr. Shaikh also said that Sardar Abdul Nabi Teghani has served legal notice to SSP Shikarpur, therefore, he [SSP Shikarpur] is conducting proceedings to take revenge against Teghani Sardar and police are asserting pressure on Sardar Teghani to take back his sent legal notice, but warned the police officers who are taking revenge who would face legal proceedings. Imtiaz refuted secret report made by Shikarpur police chief and termed it fake and fabricated and announced for impartial inquiry, but after the transfer of IGP Sindh because of incumbent IGP Sindh has become controversial and hatching conspiracy against Sindh government and tried to lodge cases against Chief Minister of Sindh, Saeed Ghani, Taimoor Talpur, Eijaz Jakhrani and mine, therefore, IGP Sindh has lost confidence.
Replying to a question regarding the murder of sitting MPA Shahnaz Ansari, he said that there is no check and balance over police, therefore, such sort of incidents happen and expressed his great sorrow and grief over the murder of Ansari and said that CM Sindh has issued orders for an impartial inquiry.
