ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday chaired the meeting of parliamentary party leaders to evolve a joint response on Kashmir issue and the situation on Line of Control (LoC).
Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry briefed the participants of the meeting on the situation of human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir.PMNawaz met party leaders who reached the venue to attend the meeting. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Defence Minister Khwaja Asif accompanied the premier.
The representatives of all the major political parties are attending the meeting, including PPP’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Aitizaz Ahsan, Sherry Rehman, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Khursheed Shah and Naveed Qamar, Mahmood Khan Achakzai from PakhtunkhwaMilliAwami Party, Maulana Fazlur Rehman from Jamiat Ulema Islam (F) and Dr. Farooq Sattar from MQM, Pakistan.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi attended the meeting on behalf of party chairman Imran Khan.The government on Saturday had sent invitations to leaders of different parliamentary parties to attend the meeting, being held here at the PM’s Office.
