KARACHI:Two people were killed due to fire in an oil tank filled with 1000tonnes of fuel at the Kemari Oil Terminal on Saturday.
Eight fire engines of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) timely reached the scene and started efforts to extinguish the blaze – using foam and chemicals.
The fire broke out at Pakistan State Oil depot, KPT fire chief said and added that it was caused due to ‘Methanol chemical’– which is invisible to the human eye.
